Our Journey

Hope Church Holywell is a new church plant birthed from Hope Church Deeside. We are delighted to be part of the Christ Central Network, a UK‑based family of churches within the wider Newfrontiers movement, which connects over 275 churches across more than 25 nations. Globally, around 1,500 churches partner with different Newfrontiers teams.

Launching in 2026 in Holywell, North Wales, our vision is to establish a Spirit‑led, grace‑filled community where people encounter Christ, grow strong in faith, and are equipped to share His love with Holywell and beyond.

Our Values

Using the acronym for HOPE, our values are to:

H – Honour Jesus by placing Christ at the centre of all we do.

O – Offer His love generously by living in His abiding presence and sharing Christ in us with our community and beyond.

P – Pursue Spirit‑led community through devotion to His Word and inspiration, expressed in teaching, fellowship, communion, prayer, generosity, and shared life together in Him.

E – Extend His grace by following His way, being shaped by His truth, living in His life, and stewarding the Spirit’s gifts to expand His Kingdom in our community.

Our Beliefs

What We Believe

1. The Trinity

We believe in the Trinity—one God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—co‑equal, co‑eternal, and united in love and purpose. (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; John 14:16–17)

2. God the Father

We believe in our loving Father, Creator of all things, seen and unseen. He is holy, eternal and full of grace. (Genesis 1:1; Psalm 90:2; 1 Corinthians 8:6; Ephesians 1:3–4)

3. Jesus Christ, the Son

We believe in Jesus Christ—God’s Son, our Lord and Saviour. He was with the Father before time began, fully divine and one in essence with Him. Through Jesus, all things were created. Out of love, He came to us, born incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the virgin Mary, and entered our world as fully human. He was crucified under Pontius Pilate, died, and was buried. On the third day, He rose again, just as the Scriptures foretold. He ascended into heaven and now reigns at the Father’s right hand. One day, He will return in glory to judge the living and the dead, and His kingdom will never end. (John 1:1–3,14; Colossians 1:15–17; Luke 1:35; Philippians 2:6–8; Mark 15:25; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Acts 1:9–11; Hebrews 1:3; Revelation 22:12–13)

4. The Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit who is present and active today. He proceeds from the Father and the Son, fully equal and eternally united with them. He speaks through Scripture, empowers the Church through His gifts, nurtures our faith, and faithfully leads us into truth. (John 14:26; John 15:26; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:4–11; Romans 8:14)

5. The Bible

We believe the Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God—fully trustworthy and authoritative for faith, life, and practice. Through Scripture, God reveals His character, His purposes, and His invitation to live in relationship with Him. We seek to interpret and apply the Bible with humility, prayer and dependence on the Holy Spirit. (2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21; Psalm 119:105; Hebrews 4:12)

6. The Greatest Commandments

We believe Jesus calls us to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength—and to love our neighbours with the same grace, kindness, and compassion we ourselves have received. Our desire is to follow in His footsteps: to love as He loved and to live with the humility, courage and mercy that marked His life. (Matthew 22:37–39; John 13:34–35; Philippians 2:5)

7. The Church

We belong to one Church, rooted in grace and united in faith. (Ephesians 4:4–6; Romans 12:4–5; 1 Corinthians 12:12–13)

8. Forgiveness, Resurrection, Eternal Life

We affirm the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the hope of life everlasting through Christ our Lord. (Ephesians 1:7; 1 John 1:9; John 11:25–26; 1 Corinthians 15:52–54; John 3:16)

9. Baptism & Communion

We affirm the sacraments of baptism and communion as symbols of God’s grace, celebrated in community and rooted in Scripture. (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:3–4; Luke 22:19–20; 1 Corinthians 11:23–26)

What Makes Hope Church Holywell Different?

At Hope Church Holywell, we’re not trying to be better than any other church. We deeply value every expression of Jesus’ Body across our town and beyond. Each church carries something precious, and we’re grateful to be one small part of what God is doing.

What we sense the Lord building here is simple, warm, and rooted in the life‑changing message of Jesus. We’re not aiming to impress — we just want to be authentic, faithful, and real.

Here’s what makes our expression unique:

A warm, pressure-free welcome

We’re a relaxed, friendly church family where you can simply come as you are. There’s no pressure and no expectations — just a gentle space to breathe, to belong, and to explore faith at whatever pace feels right for you.

Clear, accessible Bible Teaching

We open the Bible together in a way that’s easy to follow and genuinely helpful for everyday life. No jargon, no assumptions — just clear, Jesus‑centred teaching that meets people where they are.

Space to Ask Questions

We believe faith grows best in an environment where people feel safe to wonder, wrestle, and explore. Honest questions and doubts are welcome here. You don’t need to have everything figured out.

A fresh Start Rooted in Hope

As a new church plant, we’re gently shaping a community that’s open, healthy, and centred on Jesus — built with simplicity, authenticity, and a shared desire to follow God’s leading together.

Small Enough to Notice You

In a smaller church, everyone matters. You won’t be lost in the crowd. You’ll be known, valued, and welcomed into a genuine family where people care.

Rooted in Hope, Healing and Encounter

We believe Jesus meets people right where they are and brings real transformation. Our heart is to be a place of hope, healing, and fresh encounter for Holywell and the surrounding areas.
